Day 1 - Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

Whether you are flying in the first morning, or already staying at a hotel or residence within the city of Nairobi, we will come and collect you and transfer you to Wilson Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Samburu National Reserve. On a clear day, your flight path should offer you stunning views over the northern Kenyan plains, including the second highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kenya. From the airport you guide will collect you and take you straight to Samburu, as you make your way through the park to your luxury safari accommodation you will catch your first glimpses of the fauna on display in the rugged landscape. Lunch will be served at your camp and the afternoon will be spent on a game drive through the park. Your expert Kenyan safari guide will be able to help you spot, identify, and photograph the great animals of the park and the cooling air of the late afternoon is a perfect chance to see young at play and the bustle of watering holes. Upon return to the camp, dinner will be served and you can spend your first evening listening to the river run by. The first night of your luxury safari includes:

Day 2 - Full Day in Samburu National Reserve

Breakfast will be served and is quickly followed by a morning game drive, giving you chance to catch the early morning activity throughout the park. As the wildlife awakens for a new day beside the river, you can spot the stunning:
  • Grevy’s zsebra
  • Beisa oryx
  • Gerenuk antelope
  • Kirk’s dik-dik
For lunch your driver will take you back to your luxury safari accommodation where you can take your meal at a relaxed pace and watch the activity at the riverside, with the Ewaso Ng’iro river never far from earshot. Your afternoon will take you back out into Samburu where you can be on the look out for elephants and buffalo as they range through this vast territory. A full day in the park can be a tiring proposition, so on your return you can take the opportunity to relax and unwind in your luxury safari surroundings. Your tented camp or lodge will offer private seating areas, hot showers, and internet access. Dinner will be served, along with options of local beers and spirits along with house wines. The second day of your African safari includes:

  • Overnight stay inside Samburu National Reserve
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner

Day 3 - Samburu National Reserve - Nairobi

Take breakfast overlooking the river and see if you can spot the crocodiles that populate the flowing water as they try and catch their day’s feed. Watching the park come to life from the comfort of your luxury accommodation is a gentle way to start the day ahead. Next, you will take a game drive through the park as you make your way out of Samburu and back to the airport to catch your return flight to the city. On your scheduled flight you can again look across the vista of the Kenyan plains and gain a fresh perspective over the lands. Landing in Nairobi, a driver will meet you and transfer you to either the international airport, your hotel or residence, depending on your onwards plans. This final day of your luxury safary includes:
  • No accommodation, this is the final day
  • Breakfast and lunch, no dinner
  • Drinking water, other drinks are extra
