Day 1 - Mombasa - Tsavo East National Park

Rise early in Mombasa for your pick up by your driver, from where you will hit the Mombasa to Nairobi road and head to Tsavo East National Park. Along the way you will be able to drink in the Kenyan countryside as the farms and villages pass by your vehicle. Arriving at the Bachuma Gate of Tsavo East, you are thrown straight into the safari experience with chance to spot wildlife from the moment you enter. Be on the look out for
  • Elephants
  • Giraffes
  • Cheetahs
  • Buffalos
And plenty others as you make your way to your camp or lodge for lunch. Once your appetite has been sated it’s straight back out on to the savanna for an afternoon game drive to search once more for the majestic animals that roam through Tsavo East. A trip to the Aruba Dam is also in store on the afternoon’s drive, with plenty of game viewing to be had, particularly if your trip is during the dry season. The evening of your first day on safari in Africa will see you return to your chosen accommodation when dinner will be served and you will have to rest up and prepare for the following day’s adventures. This day of your Kenyan safari includes:
  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
  • Overnight stay inside Tsavo East National Park
  • Lunch and dinner, no breakfast
  • Drinking water, other drinks are extra

Day 2 - Tsavo East National Park - Tsavo West National Park

Rise early and head out on a dawn game drive. The chance to watch day break over the grasslands, listen to the dawn chorus, and witness the change of pace across the plains is truly spectacular. Returning to your camp or lodge, you will have breakfast and make your way to the sister park, Tsavo West. The two parks are part one vast reserve that is intersected with a highway, yet each have their own characteristics and special elements; you may spot the subtle changes in vegetation, for example, as you make your way between the two locations. Once you reach your night’s accommodation lunch will be served before heading straight back out for a further game drive in the afternoon. Rhinos are one of the most critically endangered animals on our planet, hunted close to extinction for their ivory horns. At Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, located within Tsavo West, they are aiming to conserve the remaining black rhinos and boost their population, with decent levels of success. This afternoon on your safari gives you opportunity to visit the sanctuary and learn about their important works. Safari and education can be hungry work, so we will return you to your accommodation for dinner and relaxation in the evening. The second day of your safari in Kenya includes:
  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
  • Overnight stay inside Tsavo West National Park
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Drinking water, other drinks are extra

Day 3 - Tsavo West National Park - Amboseli National Park

Breakfast comes first, with a morning game drive through Tsavo West to get the wonderful early light and view the wildlife when it’s most active. The mountains of the park offer dramatic landscapes, which we traverse to take you to the famed Mzima Springs. Here, you can see hippos and crocodiles in the shaded, perfectly clear waters. The trail leaving the park meanders through the savanna, with yet more chances to see the big five of African safari:
  • Elephants
  • Buffalo
  • Leopards
  • Rhinos
  • Lions
Along with the other animals that you associate so fondly with the grasses and forests of Africa. The next stop is Amboseli National Park, where you will take lunch at your accommodation and then venture into the park for another game drive. Now is your chance to become acquainted with the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. She will join with you on your journey through Amboseli, providing a constant backdrop for your memories and photos. Returning to your camp or lodge for dinner, the evening is yours to unwind and ready yourself for the morning’s escapades. The third day of your African safari includes:
  • Accommodation at your camp or lodge
  • Overnight stay inside Amboseli National Park
  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Drinking water, other drinks are extra

Day 4 - Amboseli National Park - Nairobi

Dawn over Amboseli is especially magical; an early start should mean a chance to catch a glimpse of the peak of the majestic Kilimanjaro, before the clouds roll in and crown her for the day. Your early morning game drive aims to offer this experience, along with the dawn chorus and the soft early light that will make your photography look dreamlike. Game drive over, you will return to your camp or lodge for breakfast, before one final drive through Amboseli as you exit the park. This is your chance to bid farewell to the animals, birds, and landscapes that have revealed their wonder to you over the last three days. Before arriving in Nairobi, we will stop for lunch at a local town to give you some traditional Kenyan fayre. Once in the capital city, you can request a drop off at your hotel, residence, or the airport, depending on your onward plans. Included in the last day of your African safari is:

  • Breakfast and lunch, no dinner
