Day 1: Nairobi → Masai Mara National Reserve

Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Nairobi through the Great Rift Valley to the world-famous Masai Mara. After lunch, embark on your first game drive in Kenya’s most celebrated reserve, home to the Big Five and the seasonal wildebeest migration. Dinner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp in the Mara.

Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara

Spend a full day exploring the rolling plains and rich habitats of the Mara. Game drives in the morning and afternoon, or a full-day excursion with picnic lunch, bring you close to lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and herds of antelope. Optional activities include a sunrise hot air balloon safari or a visit to a Maasai village. Overnight in the Mara.

Day 3: Masai Mara → Serengeti (North)

After an early breakfast, exit the Mara and travel to the Isebania border. Following immigration, switch vehicles and guides as you begin the Tanzania leg of your adventure. Enter Northern Serengeti, known for dramatic Mara River crossings during migration season. Enjoy a game drive en route to your camp. Dinner and overnight in Northern Serengeti.

Day 4: Full Day in Northern Serengeti

Spend the day exploring Northern Serengeti, particularly rich in wildlife between July and October. Witness the epic crossings of wildebeest and zebras braving crocodile-filled rivers, while predators lurk nearby. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Northern → Central Serengeti (Seronera)

Travel south into the Central Serengeti, renowned for year-round wildlife viewing and predator action. Game drives en route take you through vast savannahs dotted with kopjes, before arriving at your camp or lodge. Afternoon game drive in Seronera Valley. Overnight in Central Serengeti.

Day 6: Full Day in Central Serengeti

A full day dedicated to exploring Seronera, one of Africa’s richest game areas. Lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas thrive here, alongside thousands of grazing herbivores. Enjoy picnic lunches in the bush or return for hot meals. Dinner and overnight in Central Serengeti.

Day 7: Central Serengeti → Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive while exiting Serengeti, then continue toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim with panoramic views of the caldera. Afternoon at leisure or optional nature walk. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater → Karatu/Arusha

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is often called Africa’s Eden, home to black rhinos, lions, hippos, and flamingos. After a picnic lunch by the hippo pool, exit the crater and drive to Karatu or Arusha for overnight.

Day 9: Arusha Area (Optional Activities)

Spend the day at leisure in Arusha or opt for cultural and nature activities such as a visit to a coffee farm, local market, or waterfalls. This day allows you to relax before departure or extend your safari. Overnight at your Arusha lodge or hotel.
